In Paint, coating & epoxy Industry Pialite ™ Functional Filler is used as a matting agent for decorative wall paint, wood coating and epoxy. Pialite ™ can also be used as a filler for talc replacement in wall & wood sealer application & metal/epoxy primer application. Due to perlite’s insulative nature perlite can also be used as an insulative filler for insulative paint. Lastly Perlite can also be used as a texturizing agent for wall paint spray application.

Paper & Pulp Industry

Pialite ™ Perlite Functional filer are used in paper & pulp industries to remove contaminants deposits like Pitch (organic lignins) & Stickies (synthetic adhesives. These contaminants are a daily source of sheet defects (holes, crushing, edge cracks) which lead directly to paper machine and winder breaks. Stickies are normally found in the pulp mill industries that utilizes recycle paper as their source for making pulp, while pitch are normally found in the pulp mill that utilizes wood timber as its raw material.

The build-up of this contaminants on dryer may also forms a thermal barrier that decreases drying capacity, especially in the 1st and 2nd dryer sections.
