INSULATION
Perlite insulation properties can be applied in extreme condition. It is proved to be very effective in preserving temperature on both edges; high temperature (up to 1100 °C) and freezing cryogenic level (bellow -100 °C).
High Temperature Insulation
With its non-flammable character and ability to withstand high temperatures up to more than 1000 ° C, Perlite is an effective high-temperature insulator, non-leaky and fire resistant. The application of Perlite is perfect for:
- Fireproof coating for safe, room, chimney coating and other coatings exposed to high temperatures
- Exothermic Topping and Risering. Perlite mixed with Exothermic powder can prevent shrinkage in ingots and metal casting
- Fire stop mortar
- Core for fire door and handle
- Roof insulation
Cryogenic Insulation
Perlite can maintain a low temperature (below -100 ⁰C) and suitable to be used as a layer of storage insulation such as liquid oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, LNG & Ethelyn. Perlite is more capable than alternative insulative material
Generally, for storage of very low temperature materials and Cryogenic has a double wall construction with annular space. The space can be filled with Perlite as an insulating layer. Perlite can also be used for cryogenic and low temperature storage with smaller sizes
