PT. Perlite Indonesia Abadi (PIA), was incorporated in 2008 at Cilegon, Banten, Indonesia. PIA is a private own company with business partners from Phillipines which specialices in the production of expanded perlite product and its derivatives with international standard qualification and quality. The founders of PIA are experts in perlite business with decades of experience managing perlite industry. With broad knowledge, skills and networks in perlite industry, Pia Founders decided to initiate and develop the untapped perlite potential in this country.
Indonesia, famously known as the ring of fire, has a lot of volcanic activity which produces abundant amount of perlite. For more than a decade PT. Perlite Indonesia Abadi with its latest technology has been able to develop and process Indonesia’s mined perlite to be able to serve various domestic and international industries like Filtration industry, construction, insulation, industrial filler, and horticulture.
PT. Perlite Indonesia Abadi strictly adhere to the testing standard ASTM (American society for testing material) that standardize material, production technique, system and service. This practice ensure that every gram of perlite produce will always meet the specification and standard, thus ensuring user’s satisfaction.
WHAT IS Perlite ?
Perlite is a mineral ore which originated from the hydration of natural volcanic lava for over million of years. When Processed and heated up to 800⁰ - 950⁰ it will expand 4-20 times the original volume, Perlite becomes porous particles due to the release of water contained and thus reducing its density. Since the development of the Perlite industry in 1949, there have been many uses of Perlite for industry and consumer needs throughout the world.
